Opinion in the case of U. S. vs Richmond and Danville Rail Road [manuscript], 1874 January 7.

Banfield's opinion rules that the suit of the federal government against the Richmond and Danville over ownership of the Confederate financed Piedmont Rail Road should be terminated. The opinon was rendered for William A. Richardson, Secretary of the Treasury.
